La artista madrileña María Elisa Rivera se ha convertido en la primera ganadora del Premio PROArte para jóvenes artistas menores de 30 años gracias a una obra abstracta inspirada en el paso del tiempo.
Utilizando una técnica mixta sobre lienzo, convierte el óxido, un elemento percibido habitualmente como negativo, en una creación poética y evocadora, efecto que logra aislando y descontextualizando al protagonista de su pintura.
El jurado, formado por los artistas Inmaculada Amor y Gonzalo Páramo, de cuyas manos salieron las cafeteras convertidas en piezas de coleccionista que están en el origen del galardón, no tuvo fácil la elección debido a la «enorme calidad y a la gran creatividad de los trabajos presentados».
Finalmente, y tras analizar las obras finalistas – realizadas por María Tinaut, Lucía González y la ganadora final-, se decidió por el trabajo de esta joven, nacida en 1998, del que destacó su “fuerza y equilibrio” y la reflexión realizada “a través del uso de diferentes técnicas mediante las que reflexiona sobre el concepto de lo degradado reflejado por el paso del tiempo”.
